This past weekend and week has been crazy for the people of Middle Tennessee. I can't believe any of this as I watch the news it's very surreal. It's weird to see people's houses underwater and to think that part of downtown Nashville is the same way. I am ashamed at the lack of concern by the national media about this. But on the other hand I am amazed how the people here have come together to put everything back together.
I wish there was more I could do, but with the kids it's hard. The kids and I did take some stuff to Graceworks in Franklin and also the Metro Animal Shelter. I am trying to find more places that we can help. I really want them to realize what is going on and how it has affected everyone here. So if you are reading this and you can help I encourage you to help in whatever way you can. Also please say a prayer for our state. There are so many people that are in need right now.

We are throwing an ice cream party for Emily's 6th birthday. I have found great sites showing examples. I love tha these moms are so crafty. It has inspired me to try and become a crafty mom. The little ones and I are off to get more party stuff. Maybe we will stop off at a craft store on the way.
You can find these here and here.

Behind Life Unexpected
Monday, March 22, 2010So I changed my blog domain name today. I really liked the name Behind Life Unexpected. It suits my life wonderfully. Everything in my life seems to happen unexpectedly, when I am not looking or even wanting it to happen. Somethings make me want to just hide in a hole somewhere, but everything that has happened in my life unexpectedly has made me a better person and I am greatful for that. It's been a bumpy ride but has turned out great so far, so life keep being unexpected.

Silent Jams
Monday, January 18, 2010A few months ago Bayson came up to me and was telling me about a new company that two of his friends were starting called Silent Jams. It was going to be a silent disco, where everyone has headphones on and only hear music through them. If you take your headphones off you hear nothing. Well needless to say, I was a big sceptic. I just didn't see how that would be any fun. Well this weekend they had there kick off party and we were there and surprise.....I had a blast! I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would enjoy myself as much as I did. It brought the dancer out in me.

Schools in session
Well I did it. I decided to bite the bullet and go back to school. I am taking 3 online classes and hope I am not in over my head. It's nice though to know with a little time and lots of effort I will have an RN and can do something I love. Now if I could just get Sean to buckle down and do his work it would be a lot happier place at our house.
